My husband, Duane, met me at the airport when I arrived in New York from my wonderful Grandmother/Grandson's trip to London and Paris. I felt some trepidation as we drove home, wondering how my gardens had fared in my absence. I need not have worried. Duane had done an outstanding job watering and maintaining them.
My biggest surprise was the abundance of flowers in the meadow (above.) Newly installed this spring with the gazebo Duane found on FB marketplace, the meadow garden exceeded all my expectations. In a future blog posting, I will tell you how I created it. For now, enjoy the pictures I took on my walk through my gardens upon my return. Forgive me for not labeling all the flowers. I will be glad to answer any questions in the comments.
THE KITCHEN GARDEN
THE COTTAGE GARDEN
My favorite bench by the pond awaits me |
The cottage garden is in full bloom and full of pollinators |
Not many hollihocks this year but though few they excel |
THE SERENITY GARDEN
There are two arbors into the Serenity Garden - this one is from the front of the house. |
The Serenity Garden is lush and peaceful |
THE STONE GARDEN
I planted the Stone Garden with all white fliowers this year. This is my favorite corner of it |
Duane even remembered to water the window boxes along the tractor shed |
THE MEADOW GARDEN
Isn't it beautiful? |
My gardens are full of pollinators |
I love to travel and experience new adventures, and I will never forget this wonderful trip with Jonathan. It was the trip of a lifetime. A highlight was our visit to Monet's garden in France -- I will write about it soon. But it is lovely to be home to enjoy my cottage garden and the wildflower meadow's quiet pleasures.
Love,
