We have at least 26 typhoons per year during the rainy season and floodings and landslides are our biggest disasters. It looks like the environment is really complaining! We were lucky at our house (http://cosmosandcleome.wordpress.com/2011/08/29/cleaning-up-after-irene/), but other parts of our town were without power for 5 to 6 days, and the entire first week of school was canceled! (We live in Wayne County, PA). Are you far enough to the east to have avoided this latest deluge?
